
1 1/2 cups of brown sugar, firmly packed.
1/2 cup of evaporated milk.
1 Tablespoon of country crock stick butter.
2 cups of pecan halves or pieces.
Combine pudding mix, brown sugar, evaporated milk and butter in a medium size sauce pan. Heat slowly, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Then cook without stirring until soft ball stage on your candy thermometer. Remove from heat.
Stir in pecans, then beat with a wooden spoon for about 3-4 minutes, or until mixture thickens.
Drop by spoonful on parchment paper, about 2 inches apart. Let stand until firm.
