For this receipe you can use frozen peaches or fresh. If frozen place in a bowl to thaw.
When thawed add 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 TBS of Cinnamon, 1 tsp of nutmeg. Mix together and set aside.
Next prepare pie crust: Mix 1 cup of flour, and 1/2 cup of Crisco together until mealy. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and mix into a soft dough. For this receipe I doubled the crust because Tim loves the crust!!
Use Pam or butter to prepare your pan. Take 1/2 of the dough and flour surface and roll to desired shape of pan. Place in bottom of pan, use your hands to shape to sides. Roll your other dough out to cut and place on top!
Pour your sliced peaches over bottom crust.
Use your other rolled out dough and cut into strips and place on top of the peaches using a crisscross pattern. Next take a TBS of sugar and sprinkle on top, you can also do Cinnamon if you like.
Place in a 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream! Enjoy, and that's whats cooking on the farm!
