1/2 cup butter melted
1 cup and 2 Tablespoons of flour
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 cans of evaporated milk
Any pieces of chicken you prefer
1/2 cup half and half
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup water
In a bowl combine flour, salt, and pepper. In another bowl combine 1 can of evaporated milk and half and half. Coat the chicken pieces in the milk mixture, then dredge each piece in the flour mixture. Place the chicken in a iron skillet or prepared baking dish where you have poured the melted butter. Place the chicken skin side up and bake uncovered for 35 minutes.
Next while that is cooking in a small bowl mix together the soup. water and the remaining evaporated milk. Remove skillet from oven and turn chicken, then pour the soup mixture over the entire top of chicken. Place back into oven cooking for another 30 minutes or until chicken is done.
When finished remove chicken from skillet and whisk together the gravy. You can serve with rice or mashed potatoes!
