Peel and cut into small pieces one potato, also cut a large onion and set aside. Mix 1-2 lbs. hamburger meat with any spices you like, add 1/2 of potato, and mix well and make into patties. (any size you like)
Place patties into a skillet with a little olive oil and brown on both sides.
While your patties are cooking. Open 6 beef bouillon cubes and place into 2 Cups of hot water. Stir until cubes have dissolved.
When browned on both sides, remove hamburger patties and place onto a plate. Using a whisk scrap bottom of skillet, add onions and rest of potatoes and 1/2 stick of butter. Let cook until onions are brown.
Add 2-3 TBS. of flour and whisk until flour is mixed in well. Slowly add the beef broth mixture, whisking the whole time.
When gravy starts to thicken, add steaks back into skillet. Let simmer, with cover for 10-15 minutes to finish cooking.
You can serve the hamburger steaks with the gravy over buttered noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes. Thats what's cooking on the farm!
