Blackeyed Peas & Bacon Cabbage!

Wash your peas and place in a pot, place enough water in the pot to cover the peas.
Add a few slices of salt pork
A few chunks of ham
1/2 chopped onion
2 tablespoons of parsley
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 tablespoon of diced garlic
2 Bay leaves
Mix well, cook on medium heat for 1-2 hours until peas are tender.

Cook 6 slices of bacon and set aside.
Next add to the bacon grease, 1 head of chopped cabbage, 1/2 onion chopped, 1 tablespoon of diced garlic, 2 teaspoons of salt and 2 teaspoons of pepper. Mix well and add one stick of butter to top.
Place lid on and steam on low heat for 15 minutes.

Crumble the bacon on top, and mix well.
