Take 1-2 pounds of fresh green beans, snap off ends and wash. Place in a large pot and cover beans with water. Next add one onion chopped up, 10 bouillon cubes, 1 Tablespoon parsley, 2 teaspoons pepper, 1 teaspoon salt, and cook on medium high for about 45 minutes.
Next add pieces of ham, and new potatoes. You can leave potatoes whole. Continue to cook until potatoes are tender.
When done use a slotted spoon to remove beans, ham, and potatoes. Serve in bowl and place butter on top! To spice up use red pepper flakes or tabasco sauce!
