Goat looked so bored one day, all the other animals either had a chew stick or a toy to occupy their time. So Tim gave him a stuffed mouse to play with, then the fight was on!
But Thorn had other ideals!
Goat got off the porch with his mouse, he decided to take the fight to the yard!
Goat was enjoying his success at keeping the mouse!
However.......that success was short lived!! LOL!!!!
All the grandkids discovered that there were Dove's in the trees out by the garden. They all sat on the porch, discussing why they didn't fly off no matter how much noise they made!!
Poe and Emily kept saying its real it's just being still!
When the mystery was solved that the birds were fake, it was up on the porch for a picture, and this is what I got!! LOL!
And Sophia all she wanted was that bird, so Pawpaw goes to the garden and gets her one, and she carried it around the rest of the time. I have no doubt when Megan puts her to bed tonight, the bird will be with her!!! LOL!!!
This rocking chair has been with me for 30 years! It has been every color, and rocked numerous children and grandchildren! I was first given this rocker from my parents when I was expecting my first child! It was stained, and my mother who is a very talented artist painted yellow roses on it for me!! There are times I wish it was still painted that, but with each new color, came a new baby or grandbaby!! When I was deciding what would go on my new front porch, I looked into the sitting room and there it was. I decided then and there it needed to be on the front porch, to be sit in, rocked in, and used! Not sure if there will be anymore new grandbabies to be rocked, But I know it will still be used by those who come visit!!!
Sophia and Thorn playing chase around the rocker!!
Emily rocking and telling us about her first day of kindergarten!!!
In the office when we moved!
Of course when not rocking babies, my santa's would sit on the rocker!
It is so exciting to see the deer when they start to come in on The Broken Road Farm!! Tim and I see them all year, but when fall comes you really get to see them!
There seems to be alot more deer this year. Tim put out food plots, so we will see.
This one really looks like it's going to be a big one!!!
And of course, the hogs & their babies!!! Going to be busy!!!
Sophia wanting Tim to teach her how to call a Turkey up!
Loving every minute of it!!
Sophia informed us if she sees a turkey, she is taking it home to sleep with her in her bed!!! LOL!
Sophia decides Rosie and Thorn are barking to much and scaring her turkey away, so she tries to convince them to take a nap!! LOL!!!!
Tim was plowing the field in front of the house today! As I looked out the front door I could see the dirt blowing past, glad that I didn't open my windows today!!
I knew that Tim had moved down front to plow....however I kept seeing dirt blowing past! Then I discover that the animals were having a bit of fun!! LOL!!!
Rosie and Thorn getting so down and dirty! Glad they hadn't had their bath yet!!!
Lol!!! If it's not the animals, it's the grandkids, And yes sometimes it's Tim!!! LOL!!!
Lilly giving Thorn some much needed love!
Thorn giving the love back!!!
Thorn giving Tim the eyes of love!!! LOL!!
Goat trying to get some kisses from Lilly!
He finally gives up, Lilly just kept ignoring him.
As for Rosie she wanted to just receive love, she couldn't be bothered with giving it!!!! LOL!
