Tim is hard at work on the new porch for The Brokenroad Farm & Me! I will take more pictures as we progress! Slow but steady work! Can't wait! Rocking Chairs here we come........and yes a cocktail! LOL!
The tractor you see in the picture above I drove for the first time today! OMG! it was so scary and very high! It was a lot of fun, Tim held on and rode down to the barn with me, he was wonderful! It was a great day, even the dogs were having a good time!
It's snack time on The Brokenroad Farm! Rosie loves her snacks, she even tries to take Thorn's. And sometimes he lets her have it.
OMG! The joys of living on a farm are numerous, however having a skunk spray under your house is horrible! Picture this its 1:00am, I awake to the most horrible smell! I wake Tim and ask him, to please go investigate, he gets his gun and goes outside. I wait, and wait and wait. I start to just open the door when all hell breaks lose under the house! Cats are hissing and fighting, part of the skirting sounds like it is being ripped off. I am standing there in my gown trying to decide if I should get my shoes on and go see what happened and where Tim was, but frankly I really didn't want to. I was just silently praying Tim would not call out for my help! One it was dark outside, and I know not just skunks come out at night. The smell is so over powering now and I am so not happy, I start spraying airfreshner all over the house and yes there was some cussing to myself involved. Suddenly there is a shot, Well that solves one problem I know Tim is atleast alive, unless of course its zombies, I must admit I do at that moment contemplate locking the front door, when Tim opens it. He lets me know the skunk is no longer a problem, it had tried to get under the house and the cats attacked it, it ran in the yard where he shot it. He tells me it will smell for a few days and we should go back to bed! What! A few days I'm thinking as I head for the bedroom.......I think I would rather have zombies!
